Fort Atkinson, WI. Sept. 16, 2024 — Tecsys Inc. (TSX: TCS), a global provider of supply chain management software, proudly announces that Annie Torikian, vice president of Enhanced Business Services, has been recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive with a 2024 Women in Supply Chain award in the Trailblazers category. The Trailblazer award celebrates Annie’s exceptional contributions to the supply chain industry and her role in paving the way for future females in logistics.

Annie’s career at Tecsys spans over 25 years. Starting as a supply chain software developer, her progression to vice president reflects her expertise and impactful leadership. In her role, Annie architects and oversees technologies that ensure seamless supply chain processes, providing tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of organizations, globally.

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive,” commented Annie. “This achievement reflects not only my personal journey but also the collective effort and support of my remarkable team and company. I am privileged to be in a role that empowers me to push boundaries and drive excellence in supply chain management. I am proud to contribute to a team that is dedicated to making supply chains more efficient and resilient.”

Annie is a driving force for efficiency and innovation in supply chain management. She has led initiatives such as integrating dimensioning and weighing systems within Tecsys' WMS and incorporating automation technologies, including autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), vertical lift modules (VLMs) and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). During the Covid era, she played a crucial role in developing strategies to address global supply chain disruptions, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and reducing waste. Annie balances her professional achievements with community service, having served as mentor for young women through the McGill Women’s Mentorship Program and sharing her expertise at conferences.

“Every year, this award continues to amaze me. But this year especially, it’s all about the quality of the submissions. These women are doing remarkable things for their communities, organizations, and teams and are paving the way for future young female leaders to be a part of an industry that’s making a difference,” said Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and co-founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum.

Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, founder of Let’s Talk Supply Chain podcast and Blended Pledge, both sponsors of the Women in Supply Chain award, added, “Women are reshaping the landscape of supply chain management with their unparalleled contributions, igniting growth and fostering innovation across the industry. Their presence not only enriches the workforce, but also brings a myriad of perspectives essential for tackling intricate challenges and refining global operations.
